Hello Konstantinos and all group members, Congratulations for the beautifull Espada you have. And I love the color! I own Espada no 7987 that have the same original color as yours but my interior is all red (see Espada-7987 in the photo album section of the Vintage Lambo site). My production no. is 329. What is yours? I"m sure these 2 Espadas where very near on the assembly line at the very same time ! Good luck and enjoy your Espada! Espada 8011 Dear Group: I have been lurking for ~a month now, absorbing all of the wonderful info. posted on this board and "getting-to-know" (...through your posts) each one of you. I have been an Italian car fanatic my whole life and finally got to realize a childhood dream...(see below!) I had narrowed down my searching to the Espada and proceeded in acquiring as much info. as I could about the car and its idiosyncrasies, while I was narrowing down my search for a good candidate car. During the cource of this search/education/evaluation, I stumbled upon this board. ...Well, that was a lucky hit! I asked John C. off-line to share his owner- experience and he very kindly directed me to George B. ...That was another "lucky" hit!! A couple of e-mail exchanges and a long telephone conversation with George, as well as the "goldmine" of information this group so kindly shares, tipped the scale for me allowing me to proceed with a little more confidence into this new adventure. I just purchased ser. no. 8011 Espada. It is an early S2, with 58K km (verified), and full-service history since 1987, the year it was acquired by its 2nd owner Dr. David Waltos of Baltimore, MD, from whom I purchased the car. It is blue with tan interior (see posted pictures in album "Konstantinos8011Espada"), and appears to be in very good condition. According to Dr. Waltos it was originally a New Jersey car. The car is rust free and has had pretty much everything mechanical on it refurbished (e.g., carbs, brakes, suspension, fuel lines, clutch, radiator, AC, heater core, top-end, etc., -no synchros problem) with the exception of the engine"s bottom end. It smokes a little from the left bank, but it is running very thin oil at the moment. It remains to be seen how bad the situation is... The dash and the door panels appear to be the only items in need of refurbishing. The seat leather upholstery is in very good shape and will look great with a bit of cleaning. The car has been repainted once to what appears to be its original color. The car remains in Baltimore and I will be picking it up some time in March after it has been checked out and serviced by the mechanics that have been taking care of it the last 17 years, Treasured Motorcar Services, Reistertown, MD. ...And yes, I will be driving it back to Boston! I will be keeping everyone updated... I am looking forward to sharing my experiences and eventually meeting you all. This group rocks!
