Body of Message

Glen, I will scan the article and post it in the next few days, have to use my kid"s scanner as I don"t have one at the office. never needed one so, I never bought one! Speaking of the Museum, I knew that a number of the cars were "loaners", as Ron and I talked aboutthat verything as the project was to be put together. I know that many museums have various loan arrangements on items they show as a part of their collections whatever it be. One car that always piqued my interest was an earlier countach that Ron had in the collection...it was perhaps a "loaner" show car, as it had no outboard mirrors whatsoever and it did have the periscope design.(How many of the periscope cars were buit?) The car was, as I recall a rather vivid almost "pea green" in color. I think the interior was a saddle color as well. the car was on diplay for a while but, I was told the car hasd a serious front rotor/caliper problem and that the brakes were locked as a result...apparently locating the replacement brake parts at the time was proving to be rather a challenge. Wonder if this was the Geneva show car? Wonder where is is today? John Carson --- In VintageLambo@yahoogroups.com, Glen Kohut wrote: > There were 2 cars built!
