[VintageLambo] Re: I don't believe it, another booster question

Body of Message

I believe the outside controls the rear, and the inside controls the front. To be certain, follow the brake line backwards from the left front fender well as it passes in from the flex fitting out of the caliper. This will lead to the tee to the other front wheel, and then distribution fitting, and then to the booster. I don"t think there is any proportioning occuring at the distribution fitting, but the lead you"re speaking of is likely the hydro-switch for the brake lights. The dist fitting has two in and two out, and except for the hydro-switch for the brake lite, the F/R systems are independent. Have you redone your calipers yet? At the very least, you should pull them apart and check for corrosion, pitting, or damaged seals. Then clean and reassemble. The parts to replace the caliper pucks are not expensive and the job isn"t hard. It is quite messy, so I work in a tub of parts cleaner. That"s where most of the sticky problems originate, and I would start worrying about the boosters later. If they leak, it"s been going on for years, and most likely wouldn"d start a stick problem without some change in the system.
