[VintageLambo] Re: Exhaust temperature at rear silencer ??

Laust Pedersen

Body of Message

Here is a non-engineering answer: With a fully thermally coated exhaust and catalytic converters (not working too hard due to good AFR) the stainless pipes into the mufflers gets slightly miscolored and the exhaust tips can burn my hands without miscoloring the SS tips. Yes thank you, I did receive the very informative pictures of the carb rotary valve, but as you may have noticed in another post I am pursuing an alternative solution, namely isolating cylinders 11 and 12 in the vacuum tube, so they are dedicated to brake vacuum. The temporal peak vacuum (relevant due to the check valve before the vacuum reservoir) is much higher than before and even when there is no PCV venting to the two vacuum tubes.
