yes, polishing probably was a fair bit of coin, for the previous owner who did it. Clearing them would have been a nice touch. As it is, it takes some elbow grease to get them looking proper. countach SV?! I like the sounds of that....sounds wicked, and scarry fast:) There"s also this car, maybe sister to your"s? http://www.lamborghiniregistry.com/Countach/CountachLP400S/1121176.html congrats. your car sounds like a good one, lots of fun ahead for you David Kean wrote: hmmmmm.....polished.....I thought maybe so. Was it expensivo? Looks like a LOT of work to me..OR a lot of money. Did you clear coat them afterwards? The newbie is going to take some rather long winded explanation and a few photos. In short, it"s a Countach SV (yep, similar to the black one in Germany) that was a pet project of Bob Wallace"s, 8 years ago. I drove it a few miles before the purchase and it put a new wrinkle on the word acceleration. Scary fast. Bob started with a turbo setup (one of the three that he built) and after THAT didn"t work, he built the guy a special 5 liter motor from an LM002 block. Special cams, rods, pistons, heads, intake manifold, headers, mucho brake work and some suspension tweaking. I won"t have the car in sight again for awhile, it"s going to Bobileffs for some cleanup, so details will have to wait. Now I know what you folks with carbureted Countach"s have been going on about. The VIN is 1121254, second series S, white on white...AGAIN. David Kean ________________________________ * * * Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to the Yahoo! Terms of Service .
