(my diesel engine doesn"t suck) The vacuum pump needs an oil feed and return line to the motor for it to function. Do the electric vacuum pump systems have a similar oil supply requirement, or are they self lubricated ? Could an electric pump be set up to run the brake boosters independently of the engine vacuum, so that the engine vacuum systems could be closed off ? What life is expected from the electric vacuum pumps, in a constant use situation ? John |
