1969 LHD Miura P400 S

Chassis Number 4407 is this Arancio car with Pelle Pelle Cinghaile (Wild Boar)  interior, currently believed to be residing in USA .

Other Information: Prod. #475 12 Dec 1969 Commissioned directly by Frank Sinatra himself who visited the Sant Agata factory with a roll of Wild Boar Skin under his arm and ordered the interior thus trimmed. Chassis #4407 was delivered new in December 1969, a fitting tribute to the end of an era referred to as the swinging sixties. Painted in Sinatra s favourite color Arancio (Orange Metallic) with its unique pelle Pelle Cinghiale (Wild Boar) and matching orange shag carpeting interior, this striking Miura S was finished with silver sills and wheels. The car was delivered directly to Sinatra himself rather than the established U.S. concessionaire Modena Car of New York, and the factory s register simply states the accepting first dealer/owner as Sinatra. Frank later gave the car to model Gloria Kent who eventually traded it of to a New Jersey dealer for a new LP400 Countach. The car was purchased by Joe Nenning III, of NJ, USA in 1977 with 33,000 kms on the clock (shared between Sinatra and model Gloria Kent, the car s second owner). Mr. Nenning went in Bob Grossman s in Nyac, NJ to purchase a Mercedes and bought the Miura instead. Joe is a huge Sinatra fan. The car has had a quiet life since, accumulating just another 3,000 kms for a total of only 36,840 km as of 2001. However, it has been used privately and mostly stored and therefore has not been seen in public since 1977. Mr. Nenning now has this car in Pacifica, CA, USA. Located 2 years ago by Miura enthusiast Joe Sackey, the car remains today in fabulously original condition, right down to the special-order 8-track player that Sinatra listened to his favourite tunes on. The car s original engine #30447 is still is still fitted and the chassis ID plate indicates its original production number of 475. The expression time-warp is appropriate here indeed. The current owner has finally decided to part with it and is considering putting it up for auction with leading auctioneers Christies, sometime in the 2003 season. This is set to be a sensational offering as the Frank Sinatra Fan Club is well aware of the car and members have been known to pay fantastic prices for anything owned by this true icon of the last century.
