1971 LHD Jarama 400 GT

Chassis Number 10096 is this US market Dark Red car with Tan Leather interior, .

Other Information: for sale on ebay.com 18Jan08 15k miles. USA delivery car with an original 25,007km’s which equals approximately 15,504 miles. Car is exceptional in all aspects. Vehicle exterior and interior appearance is superb in both cases. Mechanical condition and drivability are exceptional as well. I am a multiple Lamborghini owner and this is the best Jarama I have come across. I am very familiar with the early cars and had previously searched for a Jarama for some time. Most Jaramas are unloved and almost none survive with a high degree of originality and almost none are restored- at least here in the States. This car of course, has had work done to it throughout its life including paint and mechanicals. As per the previous owner, when the motor was gone through in 1994, “S” cams were added hence the S badge on the rear which is not indicative of this year model. Please do not ask me if I have proof of the cams- I do not as I personally did not have the work done. but when the valves were adjusted, the best estimation was that they are the “S” variant. There has been some light dye work to a very high standard to the front driver’s seat. I want to be very clear that this is not a concourse level automobile. The car is very rarely driven but nonetheless, it is used on the road so there are indications of use whereas a concourse level car is unused. There is a very, very light patina on some small areas of the interior and the exterior does have a few very minor road debris chips. Other flaws include some very light (and unavoidable), windshield delamination in the two lower corners, a few paint chips on the wheels (nothing larger than a few millimeters), some hairline cracks in the bumper rubber trim, and that is about all that is visible. A concourse car would have none of this, but I want to stress this is a driven car that is in about as good condition as a driven car can be in. It is worth mentioning that this car has NO rust or any kind or metal deterioration. This also applies to the under carriage and all exterior trim which is excellent. There is no evidence of any body work or collision damage. The body panels, the panel gaps, and contours on the car are exceptional as can be seen in the pictures. All glass is excellent and original of course. All weather stripping is excellent, as is the trunk carpet, fender wells, headliner, sun visors, wood fascia, and probably any other aspect and component of the car. I also have all keys including the original gas cap keys as the gas cap is correct and original. The car was originally a NY delivery car. It has been in Southern CA for roughly 14 years. I believe I am the fourth registered owner. I purchased the car about 4 years ago (locally) from a private party. When I purchased the car it was fully inspected by Bill Erickson of Ventura and was immediately serviced after purchase. The car has been used less than 1400 miles since purchase but it is consistently run and lightly driven up to operating temperature 3 or 4 times a month. The work I have done to the car includes typical fluid changes and flushes, clutch slave, driver’s window switch, and rear brake reservoir bottle. All aspects of the car are functioning but the clock does not keep time consistently. The A/C condenser is removed and of course, comes with the car and it is an original part in excellent condition. The car includes all items such as original tools and pouch, jack, Campagnolo spare and original tire, and a host of parts such as extra signal lenses, marker lenses, alternator, various engine parts, a color-matched tan leather hide should one want to re-do any interior component, brass knock-off tool, and many other Jarama-specific parts. Mechanical condition as previously mentioned is exceptional. There is almost no oil sweat anywhere on the motor. The carbs are perfectly synced and the choke is fully functional. The car has no blow-by and does not smoke on deceleration..
