was in a climate-controlled automotive storage facility in Indianapolis from about 1999 to 2009. The most recent owner purchased the car, and set about bringing the bull back to life. In 2011 a $7500 service was performed that included rebuilding all 6 carburetors, R&R of the rear axles, complete fluids change, R&R water pump assembly, new cooling hoses, rear heim joints, and a 4 wheel alignment.

The Countach is currently being mechanically inspected and cosmetically detailed by Canepa to ensure it meets our world-class standards. Based on the originality of this car we are detailing it to a concours level. From the undercarriage to the interior, the body to the chassis every part of the car will be as clean and bright as the day it left the factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese. We are engaging in some small mechanical restoration to ensure that the Countach will present in as-new condition. And for those who miss the rear wing, have no fear. The car comes with its original rear wing.

“Ferruccio Lamborghini introduced his exotic Countach prototype at the 1971 Geneva Auto Show. The car’s wedge-shaped styling—created by Marcello Gandini of the Bertone Design Studio—seized the attention of the automobile cognoscenti. The powerful mid-engine sports car was wide and low with sharply angled panels, “scissor” doors, and a forward-placed passenger compartment to allow for the large V-12 engine. The body was light and strong with aircraft-grade aluminum skin over a tubular space frame. The combination of standout design, performance characteristics, and its stratospheric price tag quickly earned the Countach its ‘Supercar’ status. There is perhaps no more widely recognizable or iconic supercar than the dramatically styled Lamborghini Countach, the poster car of a generation”.
