1985 LHD Jalpa

Chassis Number FLA12194 is this Bianco car with Nero Leather interior, currently believed to be residing in Kelowna B.C., Canada previously Calgary, Canada .

It has the following modifications from the standard european model on offer at the time of manufacture: Kinesis Wheels.

Other Information: Bought by present owner in February 2003.I have owned this Lamborghini Jalpa for almost 3 years. It has been, and is my pride and joy. I only sell to continue my quest for Lamborghini ownership of the entire model range. The Jalpa was developed through a series of chassis alterations including the Urraco and Silhouette and finally the open top Jalpa derivative. The car sold in respectable numbers for a boutique manufacturer but with only 410 produced, was discontinued with Chrysler ownership of Lamborghini. I have dozens of period magazines featuring these cars and all concur that this is a very impressive car. It was developed to compete with the 308/328 series Ferrari s of the day. Only, Lamborghini went through tough times financially and so, would be owners were concerned they would not have the infrastructure in place to service and maintain the cars, so most opted for the Ferrari or Porsche alternative. This infrastructure and therefore sales weakness at Lamborghini was not a reflection of the Jalpa.Things turned out fine for Lambo as illustrated by their models today. This car was the first production Lamborghini to be offered with a removeable roof, with the exception of its predecessor, the Silhouette, of which 52 were manufactured. This particular car is an original Canadian car that currently resides in Calgary. I researched these cars endlessly before buying and have been incredibly impressed with my choice.Especially with this particular car. It has the factory wing, 17 inch wheels and tires (optional but included in auction) and Ansa sport exhaust. It sounds wonderful! I have the original rims with unturned Pirelli P700 Z rated tires on them. I am currently using two of them as a coffee table in my home office. The car did not have a spare with it when I bought it, so I found a correct one. I do not have the straps that hold it in place. I have the original manual and factory brochure for the cars but the previous owner that has the spare tire must also have the tools. The leather is exceptional in the car and has a wonderful feel and smell. The dash is excellent with no cracks. The paint on the car is very good and it would be fair to say that it carries good patina for a 20 year old car. Only a few minor flaws of almost undetectable significance.I have just had the spark plugs changed, the rad hoses changed, the coolant flushed, front and rear brakes done, gear oil changed, and new synthetic oil put in the car. I have a rebuild kit for the Slave Cylinder as I believe it should be freshened because one of the seals leaks intermittently. It is winter here so I am not driving the car to get it fixed but may just do it my self.I am happy to answer any questions to those legitimate buyers for this car. Ideally, I would like this car to go to a fellow enthusiast who will assume the custodial privileges of this car as I had.I have been told on many occasions that this is the best looking Jalpa in the world. for sale on ebay.com 32500 miles @ 18Nov05..
