The Advert read: This 1968 Lamborghini Espada is one of 186 first-series cars manufactured between 1968 and 1970, and it was reportedly sold new in Italy. A friend of the seller purchased the car in Italy and imported it to the US in the mid-1970s, and the seller acquired it from him in 2010 after it had been stored since 1996. The car is finished in white over a black leather interior, and power is provided by a numbers-matching 3.9-liter V12 paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Refurbishment work under current ownership is said to include reconditioned and re-dyed leather seats, epoxy-coated fuel tanks, replacement fuel pumps, six rebuilt Weber 40DCOE carburetors, replacement fuel lines, a remanufactured distributor, rebuilt brake calipers, a rebuilt brake master cylinder, and rebuilt clutch cylinders.
