Robinson, Aaron

Body of Message

More information on Bob Storck"s SII Espada for sale. -----Original Message----- From: Bob Storck [mailto:bstorck@sprynet.com] Sent: Sunday, February 02, 2003 9:21 PM Subject: Espada for sale You once told me to let you know if I wanted to sell my Lambo. Things make me want to simplify my life, and it is a big complication. Even with the depressed market, and I have realistic idea of its worth. 1972 series II. About 30K miles. All original parts. Running but stored in garage for ten years. Mechanically very good. Top engine overhaul done by same folks who did Group 44s engine work. Heads retourqued and clearances reset after run-in. Lanky Foushee went through Webers and ignition. Excellent oil pressure and compression. Reworked exhaust and brakes. New high pressure Allied Signal/Bendix fuel pump. Comes with a new set of Goodyears of buyer"s choice. Good exterior. Not restored but redone paint job. Dark silver, battleship grey below side trim, black around rockers three tone paint job inspired by display car for Beruit auto show back when. Few nicks or blems. Door hinges and other mechanicals excellent. Despite large heavy doors, close with a gentle "snick". Interior good but needs attention to a few (very few) seams and perhaps could use new carpets. Brown upholstery. Phillips radio useless. When I got it, I had to spend a day cleaning Italian electric switch contacts. Probably needs the same now. A/C not serviced. A good detailing would make it look great. Complete set of manuals, books, schematics and most maintenance records for last three owners. Some special tools, and a lot of cam shims. Problems: Brake boosters failed, and removed for rebuild and lost by rebuilder. Driven for several hundred miles without. Second gear synchro weak on downshift, but works well on upshift. Padded hood blanket scorched, apparently before repaint. Rear hatch latch needs adjusting. I"ll try to get pix. Got some good ones that I can scan if I find them.
